Denny Falls
Head Coach
Hey Academy Families!
I’m Denny Falls and this is my 9th season with Academy! I am originally from Orland Park, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago where I grew up learning and loving volleyball.
As a volleyball coach, I am dedicated to developing volleyball players who are excited to become the next talented class of players and reach their highest level of ability on the court. Some of my proudest accomplishments are leading 8 teams to qualify for USAV GJNC and helping over 100 players go on to play college volleyball. Previously, I have coached volleyball at the college, middle school, and high school levels and I have loved working with volleyball players of all ages. Volleyball is my passion and my full-time job, so expect to see me in the gym or at the courts often!
As a volleyball player, I played Middle Blocker at Stanford University. From my time in college, I was proud to be part of the USAV Junior National Team, the runner-up in the 2014 NCAA Men’s Volleyball National Championships. During club volleyball and in high school, some of my best memories were playing in the Illinois State Championships, being named High School League MVP, and playing with Ultimate Volleyball Club during BJNC.
In addition to coaching at Academy, I currently coach the Menlo-Atherton High School Girl’s Volleyball Program and the Serra High School Boy’s Volleyball Program.
Go Academy!!
