Hello, Academy volleyball Family.

Coach Taylor hails from Hawaii but calls California home, since attending St Francis High and beginning his volleyball career. He played beach volleyball following high school but still played indoors in clubs in Germany Sweden and Italy. He has been coaching since 2008 starting with Wornick Jewish Day School for 3 years, then Carlmont High for the next 7. All the while he coached club at Eclipse ‘11, Red Rock(Payes) ‘12, Elite ‘13-14, City Beach ‘14-17, and finally Academy since ‘2019. He has taken 14-1 Elite to JO’s with an American bid and won Gold Div. JV Spikefest with Carlmont ‘16 by beating ND Belmont, St. Francis, and Presentation. After 16 years coaching he finds his joy teaching the developing ages, teaching them to be great volleyball players at a younger age through fundamentals, technical coaching, and correct team communication on and off the court. He always looks forward to a new Academy season with great coaches learning more.
