Cassie Garcia
Head Coach

Hello, Academy volleyball Family.
My name is Cassie Garcia, and I was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. I started playing volleyball when I was 8 years old and fell in love with the sport right away. I played club volleyball for five years before tearing my ACL and meniscus, but I continued playing varsity throughout high school and went on to play two seasons at San José State University, where I majored in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Rehabilitation Science.
I began coaching at Bay to Bay Volleyball in 2021 and have had the opportunity to work with athletes ages 11–17 through camps, clinics, and club seasons. Over the years, I’ve assisted and head coached teams across multiple levels, helping them earn podium finishes at several travel tournaments. I’m proud to be a back-to-back AAU National Champion coach, and this year I’m excited to head coach 13-Premier while also joining Academy North to lead two teams.
Volleyball has shaped me into the person I am today. I love the creativity of the game and the resilience it teaches—it’s all about how you respond in both good and challenging moments. As a coach, I not only focus on the technical side of the sport but also on building strong relationships with my players. Creating trust and confidence is so important because at the end of the day, we share the same passion and love for the game. My goal is to help each athlete become the best version of themselves while making their volleyball experience meaningful and fun.
